Here's how to play!

Each week, you'll get to show off your smarts by picking the winner in local high school, NCAA and NFL games. If you're a diehard fan or just an armchair quarterback, I LASSOED LANCE gives you the chance to prove your football aptitude! Simply predict the winner of 12 predetermined games and their point spread each week. Pick more winning teams in a week than LANCE and you may be one of 4 players to win the weekly prizes*. In the case of a tie, the player who submitted the winning weekly ballot first will be the winner. Two weekly winners (1st and 2nd place) will receive 1 month of courtesy cable from Suddenlink, and Two weekly winners (3rd and 4th place) will receive a voucher for one free Pay Per View or Video on Demand event. The player with the highest number of points and most winning game picks will win the Grand Prize of a flat screen tv and a year subscription to SuddenLink. Runner-up is not such a bad place to be this year as the second place finisher will win 2 (two) tickets to a Dallas Cowboys game in the new stadium with accommodations, both courtesy of our sponsor, Suddenlink. The more you win, and the more you play, the more points you'll get toward the grand prize.

Here are the rules

The contest runs for 14 weeks during football season. The first ballot will be posted online on September 2, 2009 and the last ballot of the season will be posted online December 2, 2009.
All users must register in order to participate in the competition. Registration is free to all ages.***
The new ballot goes on-line at 12:01 a.m. each Monday. All registered users must have games selected by 11:59pm on Wednesday, CST. Users can edit their picks as often as necessary before the cut off time.
Any games on any week not selected will be counted against you in your overall score and percentage.
Lance's picks are made in his blog and video and will appear online each Thursday.
Ballots and picks are tabulated and winners posted online each Monday.
Prizes may be picked up at the Amarillo Globe-News located at 900 S. Harrison.
All results are automatically calculated. All results at the end of the competition are final.
Any and all disputes will be settled by the Amarillo Globe-News. Questions and/or comments can be directed here.
Only one account per person, multiple accounts may result in disqualification.

*Each contestant is eligible for only one weekly prize.
**In the event of a tie resulting in more than one (1) Grand Prize winner, winners will be determined by date and time of registration. Early registrants have priority.
***All ages are invited to participate in the competition. Must be over 18 or accompanied by a parent or guardian to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
